Searching for the Rajaji National Park ticket price becomes more complicated when a group includes foreign visitors or children. The official Rajaji Tiger Reserve website uses separate India/SAARC and Foreigner columns, and it also displays a day-visit notice for children below 12. These are different rules and should not be merged into one guessed package price.
This guide explains what the official pages currently publish. It avoids creating an age band, visa rule or foreigner discount that the reserve has not stated. Always enter the live booking form honestly and check the permit after payment.
Foreign visitor ticket category
The official tariff displays these foreigner entry lines:
- Chila, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh: Rs 600 entry and Rs 500 vehicle.
- Chaurashi Kutia: Rs 1,200 entry and Rs 0 vehicle in the displayed table.
The table separates entry from vehicle, so do not describe Rs 600 or Rs 1,200 as an all-inclusive safari package. The final live booking screen is what should be checked for the selected date, zone, visitors and any applicable checkout line.
Passport requirement
The official Rajaji Tiger Reserve guest-login page states: “For Non Indians, Passport as an Identity Proof is Mandatory.” Keep the passport used for the booking available for verification.
Do not replace that requirement with a generic list from another wildlife park. If a passport, nationality or visitor-category situation does not fit the form, contact the reserve before payment using the official contact page. The booking record should match the document details entered in the portal.
Children below 12
The official Rajaji Tiger Reserve website displays the notice that children below 12 years will not be charged for a day visit. That notice concerns the day-visit charge; it does not mean a child should be removed from the booking form.
Enter every child exactly as the live portal asks. Check the issued permit and keep the child’s details consistent with the group record. If the form presents a question not answered by the public tariff page, ask the official support channel rather than copying an age rule from another operator.
Foreign children and identity checks
Two separate points apply to a foreign child: the official site’s day-visit notice for children below 12 and the official guest-login instruction that a passport is mandatory for non-Indians. The safest approach is to enter the child in the booking record, use the correct foreign visitor category and carry the passport required by the official page.
Do not assume that the child notice cancels an identity requirement. Do not assume that a foreign child belongs in the Indian/SAARC category. Let the live booking form and reserve support staff resolve any case that does not fit these published instructions.
India/SAARC comparison
For India/SAARC visitors, the official table displays:
- Chila, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh: Rs 150 entry and Rs 250 vehicle.
- Chaurashi Kutia: Rs 200 entry and Rs 0 vehicle in the displayed table.
The official page calls the category “India/Saarc”. Use the category shown by the live portal for your own citizenship and document circumstances. If your group contains more than one category, do not put everyone under the cheaper category just to simplify the form.
Do these prices include a private jeep?
The official table contains a vehicle column, but it does not publish one universal private jeep-hire or guide fee in that table. A private operator may offer a service package with additional amounts. Ask for a written separation between official entry, official vehicle, tax and private services.
This is especially important for mixed groups. A quote that says “per person” may combine several components, while the official page presents some amounts by visitor category and a separate vehicle line. Compare like with like before deciding which quote is cheaper.
Documents to carry
- Printed day-visit permit after the booking is confirmed.
- Passport for every non-Indian visitor, as stated by the official guest-login page.
- The identity document used for other visitors in the booking.
- Payment or booking reference saved offline.
- Visitor and group leader details matching the permit.
The official booking instructions say to enter visitor and group-leader details, make payment and print the permit. Our documents and permit guide explains the preparation without adding unofficial requirements.
Confirm the current category at checkout
Use the official day-visit booking page to select the date and zone. Check the visitor category, child details, entry line, vehicle line and final amount before payment. The official website also advises reaching the gate 20 minutes before the last entry timing and warns that late arrivals may not be entertained without a refund.
For current help, the official guest-login page publishes +91 9411568917 and support-rtr[at]uk[dot]gov[dot]in. Confirm those details on the reserve website before contacting them.
