Rajaji National Park Ticket Price by Zone: Compare the Official Day-Visit Charges

Compare the official Rajaji National Park ticket price by Chila, Chaurashi Kutia, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh, with practical zone-selection advice.

Rajaji National Park Ticket Price by Zone: Compare the Official Day-Visit Charges

The Rajaji National Park ticket price is easier to compare when you look at the official tariff zone by zone. The Rajaji Tiger Reserve booking page does not show one universal number for every day visit. It lists visitor entry and vehicle charges separately, and Chaurashi Kutia is displayed differently from the other named zones.

This guide focuses on the official zone comparison. It does not rank zones by tiger sightings or add private operator prices that are not shown in the government tariff. The live booking page remains the source of truth for the date, zone, availability and final checkout amount.

Official ticket price by zone

These are the amounts displayed in the official booking page’s tariff table. The page labels the visitor categories as India/SAARC and Foreigner. It does not present this table as a complete private tour package, so compare the live checkout and any separate written service quote before paying.

What changes between zones?

For the official tariff lines, Chila, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh share the same displayed entry and vehicle values. Chaurashi Kutia has a higher displayed entry line and zero in the vehicle columns. That is the price distinction visible in the government table.

The zone choice still matters for planning even where the displayed tariff is the same. A reporting gate can be closer to one hotel than another, and a different route can change the time needed to reach the gate. Choose a zone that the live calendar offers and that your group can reach without rushing. Our date, zone and shift guide explains the planning decision.

Zone availability is not permanent

The official Rajaji day-visit page lists Chaurasi Kutiya, Chilla, Motichur, Haridwar and Chillawali. The tariff table also includes Ramgarh. A list on an information page is not the same as a promise that every zone will be open on every date.

Select the date in the official booking calendar first, then use the zone options the portal shows. If a zone is missing, do not pay an unofficial link to “unlock” it. Availability can depend on the operating schedule and the reserve’s current instructions.

Ticket price versus complete safari cost

A zone comparison should not be reduced to the entry column. The official table has a separate vehicle line. A private operator may also offer transport to the gate, a booking service or another arrangement, but the government page does not give one universal private jeep-hire figure in this tariff.

Ask for a component-by-component quote if you are not booking directly through the official portal. It should distinguish official entry, official vehicle, taxes shown at checkout and any private service. This is the only reliable way to compare a zone’s published ticket amount with a private package.

Season and timing before comparing price

The official booking page currently states that Rajaji Tiger Reserve remains open for tourists from 15 November to 15 June. It says jeep safari is available in morning and evening hours and displays seasonal entry windows:

  • 15 November to 15 February: morning 6:30–8:00 AM; evening 1:30–3:00 PM.
  • 16 February to 15 April: morning 6:00–7:30 AM; evening 2:00–3:30 PM.
  • 16 April to 15 June: morning 5:30–7:00 AM; evening 3:00–4:30 PM.

Check the live page for your date. The official page also advises arriving 20 minutes before the last entry timing and warns that late visitors may not be entertained without a refund.

Which zone should you book?

Use practical criteria rather than an unsupported “cheapest zone” claim:

  • Choose the zone your accommodation and transfer can reach comfortably.
  • Check the official calendar before promising a zone to your group.
  • Compare entry and vehicle lines, not just the headline entry amount.
  • Allow a buffer for traffic and gate reporting.
  • Keep expectations realistic; price does not guarantee a tiger or elephant sighting.

Verify the zone price before payment

Open the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve day-visit booking page, select the date and zone, and read the current amount shown by the portal. Save the confirmation and print the permit after payment. The official tariff is a useful reference, but the live booking page controls the actual transaction.
