Rajaji National Park Ticket Price: Entry Fee, Vehicle Charges and Booking Guide

Check the Rajaji National Park ticket price shown by the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve booking page, including entry, vehicle charges, child rules, timings and permit steps.

Rajaji National Park Ticket Price: Entry Fee, Vehicle Charges and Booking Guide

If you are comparing the Rajaji National Park ticket price before booking, start with the official tariff rather than an old package quote. The official website uses the name Rajaji Tiger Reserve and publishes a day-visit table with separate entry and vehicle columns. That distinction is important because a visitor entry amount is not automatically the complete cost of a jeep safari.

This guide reproduces the amounts displayed on the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve booking page when checked. It does not add an unsupported jeep-hire or guide fee, and it does not promise that a future booking will show exactly the same amount. Use the live official page for the final transaction.

Rajaji National Park ticket price at a glance

The official table labels these columns “Entry India/Saarc”, “Entry Foreigner”, “Vehicle India/Saarc” and “Vehicle Foreigner”. It does not present the table as a single all-inclusive per-person package. Review the current portal total after selecting your date, zone, shift and visitors.

How to read the ticket table

For Chila, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh, the displayed India/SAARC entry line is Rs 150 and the India/SAARC vehicle line is Rs 250. If the portal applies the entry line to each visitor, a group of four would see Rs 600 in entry lines plus Rs 250 in the vehicle line, or Rs 850 across those two displayed components. A group of six would see Rs 900 plus Rs 250, or Rs 1,150 across those same components.

For foreign visitors in those zones, four entry lines at Rs 600 plus the Rs 500 foreign vehicle line would total Rs 2,900 across the displayed entry and vehicle components. Six would total Rs 4,100 across those two components. These are arithmetic illustrations of the official table, not a promise that no other checkout line can appear.

Chaurashi Kutia is shown separately: Rs 200 entry for India/SAARC and Rs 1,200 for foreigners, with the vehicle columns displayed as zero. Because the portal controls the live transaction, do not replace the checkout amount with a calculation from an old article.

Are jeep hire and guide fees included?

The official tariff page displays an entry amount and a vehicle amount. It does not publish one universal private jeep-hire or guide-price figure in the tariff table. That is why a third-party quote may be higher than the government entry and vehicle lines: it may include a service, transfer, vehicle arrangement or another item. It is not accurate to turn an unverified quote into an official Rajaji ticket price.

Ask for a written breakdown before paying any additional amount. The quote should identify which part comes from the official portal and which part is a service or transport arrangement. If a person guarantees a tiger sighting or refuses to explain the line items, treat that as a warning sign. Wildlife sightings cannot be sold as a certainty.

Our Rajaji National Park tickets guide explains the official entry and vehicle columns in more detail, while the payment and deposits guide covers sensible payment checks.

Child day-visit notice

The official Rajaji Tiger Reserve website displays the notice that children below 12 years will not be charged for Day Visit. Enter every child in the live booking form as requested and check the final ticket. Do not remove a child from the visitor details simply because the child is not charged.

Keep the child’s details consistent between the form, confirmation and documents. If the portal presents a question that is not answered by the public tariff page, use the reserve’s official support contact rather than relying on a generic age rule copied from another park.

GST and other official page notes

The official booking page also displays the following GST table:

  • Below Rs 1,000: Nil.
  • Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,499: 12%.
  • Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,499: 18%.
  • Rs 7,500 and above: 22%.

Because a government booking page can update its tariff and tax presentation, do not calculate a future trip only from this list. Review the live checkout amount. The official page also lists separate commercial-camera, filming and security-deposit information; those are not ordinary family day-visit charges and should not be added to a normal safari without a relevant activity.

Season and safari entry timings

The official booking page currently states that Rajaji Tiger Reserve remains open for tourists from 15 November to 15 June. It also says jeep safari is available in morning and evening hours. The listed Safari Gypsy entry windows are:

  • 15 November to 15 February: morning 6:30–8:00 AM; evening 1:30–3:00 PM.
  • 16 February to 15 April: morning 6:00–7:30 AM; evening 2:00–3:30 PM.
  • 16 April to 15 June: morning 5:30–7:00 AM; evening 3:00–4:30 PM.

These are the entry windows displayed by the official page. Check the live calendar and printed permit for your selected date. The page separately lists last-exit timings, so do not confuse the entry window with the total time of a safari route.

Late arrival can mean no entry and no refund

The official booking page advises tourists to reach the gate 20 minutes before the last entry timing. It warns that visitors arriving late after the last entry time may not be entertained and that fees deposited in such cases will not be refunded.

That warning should influence your budget and itinerary. A low advertised ticket price does not help if the transfer leaves no margin for traffic, a wrong turn, document checks or finding the reporting gate. Print the permit, keep the identity document used for booking available and plan the route before safari morning. The booking-confirmation checklist covers the practical steps.

How to book after checking the price

Use the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve day-visit booking page. The published sequence is:

  1. Select the visit date from the calendar.
  2. Select an available zone.
  3. Select the morning or evening shift.
  4. Enter visitor details and group leader details.
  5. Review the displayed charges and make payment.
  6. Wait for the day-visit ticket to be booked.
  7. Print the permit.

The official guest-login page also says that non-Indian visitors must use a passport as identity proof. It warns that online booking should be made with a static IP, preferably on a desktop PC, and may not be possible on mobile or tablet devices using dynamic IPs. Follow those instructions on the official portal rather than using an unverified payment link.

How to avoid misleading ticket quotes

  • Use the official tariff as the starting point for entry and vehicle charges.
  • Ask private operators to separate government charges from their own service or transport amount.
  • Do not treat a “per person” package as the official entry fee unless the components are shown.
  • Do not assume a guide or jeep-hire amount from another season is current.
  • Never pay someone who guarantees a tiger sighting.
  • Keep the payment reference and printed permit after booking.

The official support details published by Rajaji Tiger Reserve are +91 9411568917 and support-rtr[at]uk[dot]gov[dot]in. The reserve’s contact page identifies the Safari Booking Office at 5/1 Ansari Marg, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and lists availability from 10 AM to 5 PM. Confirm the current details on the official contact page before contacting the office.

Final answer: what should you budget?

The most accurate answer is not one universal Rajaji National Park ticket price. The official page separates entry and vehicle charges by zone and visitor category. For the five zones shown at Rs 150/Rs 600 entry and Rs 250/Rs 500 vehicle, the two displayed components begin with those amounts; Chaurashi Kutia has its own displayed entry and vehicle lines. Any private service, transport, guide arrangement or checkout line must be confirmed separately.

Check the official tariff immediately before paying, choose the date and zone shown by the live calendar, print the permit and reach the gate early. That approach is more reliable than copying a fixed package price from an old page.
