Rajaji National Park Ticket Price: Vehicle Charges, GST and the Final Checkout Amount

Learn how to read the Rajaji National Park ticket price beyond the entry fee, including the official vehicle columns, GST table and final booking checks.

Rajaji National Park Ticket Price: Vehicle Charges, GST and the Final Checkout Amount

Many visitors search for the Rajaji National Park ticket price and then compare it with a private safari quote. The first number they see is often an entry line, but the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve booking page separates entry and vehicle charges. It also displays a GST table. Reading these parts separately is the best way to understand why two quotes may not look the same.

This article explains the official table and the final-checkout questions to ask. It does not invent a private jeep-hire fee or call an operator’s package an official government price.

The official vehicle lines

For Chila, Motichur, Haridwar, Chillawali and Ramgarh, the official tariff currently displays:

  • India/SAARC entry: Rs 150.
  • Foreign entry: Rs 600.
  • India/SAARC vehicle: Rs 250.
  • Foreign vehicle: Rs 500.

For Chaurashi Kutia, the displayed table shows Rs 200 India/SAARC entry, Rs 1,200 foreign entry and Rs 0 in both vehicle columns. These are tariff lines, not necessarily a complete private tour quote. Confirm the selected zone and live checkout before payment.

Why the vehicle column matters

The official page does not present the vehicle line as another visitor entry fee. It is a separate column, which means a quote that shows only Rs 150 for an India/SAARC visitor in one of the five similarly priced zones may not be showing every official component. Conversely, a private package may include services that do not appear in the government table.

Ask for the arithmetic in writing:

  1. How many visitors are included?
  2. Which official entry category is being used?
  3. Which zone is selected?
  4. What is the official vehicle line?
  5. Is GST included or added at checkout?
  6. What private service, transfer or administration amount is separate?

A transparent quote makes it possible to compare the official tariff with an operator’s service without confusing the two.

GST table shown on the official page

The Rajaji booking page displays these charge bands:

Charge amountDisplayed GST rate Below Rs 1,000Nil Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,49912% Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,49918% Rs 7,500 and above22%

This is the tax table displayed by the official website when checked. It should not be used as a promise that a future booking will show the same presentation. Read the portal’s live checkout and keep the receipt or payment record.

Do not add an invented jeep-hire amount

The official tariff page lists entry and vehicle columns, but it does not publish one universal private jeep-hire amount in that table. Some online articles quote a range for jeep hire or guide fees without identifying the official source, date, zone or service included. Those numbers should not be presented as the government ticket price.

If you choose an operator to help with transport or booking, ask them to identify their own charge separately. The main ticket-price guide explains why an official tariff and a private package should not be merged into one number.

What the final amount can depend on

The amount you see during booking can reflect the selected date, zone, visitor category and the number of visitors entered. The official page also displays separate information for commercial filming and cameras, which does not automatically apply to a normal family day visit.

Do not pay a commercial filming or security-deposit amount unless your activity actually falls into that category and the reserve instructs you to do so. A phone or ordinary non-commercial holiday camera should not be treated as a film-production booking without an official reason.

Checkout checklist

  • Confirm that the page is the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve booking page.
  • Check the selected date, zone and morning/evening shift.
  • Check India/SAARC or Foreigner category for each visitor.
  • Check the entry and vehicle lines separately.
  • Review any GST or additional line displayed by the portal.
  • Save the payment reference and wait for the day-visit ticket.
  • Print the permit as instructed by the official page.

Late-arrival warning

The official booking page advises visitors to reach the gate 20 minutes before the last entry timing. It states that late arrivals after the last entry time may not be entertained and that deposited fees will not be refunded. A correct ticket calculation is not enough; plan the transfer so that the group can reach the correct gate with a buffer.

The official page currently states that the tourist season runs from 15 November to 15 June and lists seasonal entry windows. Check the live page for your date rather than treating a saved timing table as permanent.

Where to verify the current price

Use the official Rajaji Tiger Reserve day-visit booking page. If a payment or category problem occurs, the official guest-login page publishes +91 9411568917 and support-rtr[at]uk[dot]gov[dot]in. Verify current support details at the reserve’s website before contacting anyone.
